He will, however, become serious once he either uses a bankai or puts on his mask. Although he is a playful person, he is unusually wise when giving advice, and at times he can be surprising evil.

Shiroma is about 6 feet tall with blue eyes, long, black hair. He looks like a mature person despite his true nature. He wears a black trench coat over a black, leather vest, a white long sleeve shirt under the vest, black jeans, black socks, black boots, and a black cowboy hat with a white feather on it.
Background/History:
(Human life)
When Shiroma was four years old, he was abandoned by his biological parents and was adopted by two people from a very wealthy family. After living with them for two years, Shiroma had gotten used to how they lived and was told that he would have to carry on the family line if something were to happen to them. He agreed not knowing the weight of what he just agreed to and from that day on he had trained to be the perfect successor. The training was too much pressure for a child to take; eventually, 10 years later, he collapsed and was rushed to the hospital. He was diagnosed with over-exhaustion due to him not getting enough rest and putting too much stress since he was young. His mother protested this and said that it is something he do.
When he awoke from his sleep, he found himself in an empty hospital room. He got up and walked out of the room to see if his family was there and Shiroma saw someone down the hall. He called out to the person and they turned to him. It was a young, brunette woman in a black outfit with a sword at her hip. She stared at him as if she was spotted in the middle of a crime.
"...Hi, who are you?" she asked. He answered her ad before he knew it they were talking as if they had known each other forever. He spotted his parents walking down the hall and waved at them. When he stood up to greet them, they asked him who was he talking to. He looked back and pointed at the woman and saw that she was gone. He was shocked but he played it off as a joke.
Five years later, Shiroma was enjoying ride on the high way to clear his head, since he had just broken up with his girlfriend, and out of the corner of his eye his saw the woman he saw back when he was younger. He pulled over to speak with her, and he made it closer to her he placed his hand on her shoulder. She quickly turned and drew her sword, and Shiroma jumped back in fear.
"Whoa! Calm down, Beautiful!" He shouted without any shame.
"Y-You!?" she said showing a happy expression as she patted his head. Shiroma asked her about what happened back then and stated that he figured that she had to be a ghost and also that he could see ghost from that point on. She smiled and said that she wasn't just a ghost but a shinigami. He was about to laugh when a giant monster suddenly jumped out them from a black hole in front of them. He was so frightened that he ran back without thinking of the fact that he was on a high way; and just as he remembered where he was, he was hit by an 18-wheeler.

When he opened his eyes, he noticed something was wrong. Shiroma immediately realized that he was floating in the sky, and he saw the young woman beside him crying and her clothes were ripped.
“What’s wrong?" he asked her. She looked at him and apologized for not be able to protect him. He tried to cheer her up but to no avail. She explained what just happened, what that creature was, and what he was. She told him that she would escort him to the her world as an apology and he accepted. She took him to a school looking place and told him that he should study there and become a shinigami himself.

He went to the academy and graduated top his class along with two friends Kurogetsu, Kajamaru and Mifuyu, Mayu. They went on to join the gotei 13 but to their surprise, Shiroma was picked to be the 3rd seat of the 3rd division, and his rival and friend, Kajamaru, was picked to be the vice-captain, and Mayu, his girlfriend, as his 4th seat. After decades of duty, Kajamaru had become so jealous of Shiroma and Mayu's relationship that he attacked Shiroma. Mayu, who wanted to stop the fight, jumped between them and was killed. Shiroma lost his will to fight and was defeated by Kajamaru. He didn’t have any power left and his was beginning to lose form. Shiroma laid in his own blood, crying over his beloved Mayu, when he suddenly heard a shaky, evil voice.
“Do you want power? Revenge?” the voice said.
“…!” Shiroma was hesitant at first, “YES! I want power! I want to make him pay! I want to live!”
“That’s all I wanted to hear!!!” the voice said as Shiroma suddenly blacked out. Later, Shiroma opened his eyes and saw a mask lying next to him and a bad feeling of what was to come.

Shiroma sat under a starry sky watching the stars twinkle brightly and eating an apple. He hadn’t seen stars like this in quite a while because he was always busy in the seireitei. He thought about his late girlfriend, Mayu, and frowned If only I had been more careful…No…If I had killed Kaja quicker…. He stood up and as he walked off he heard a little kid crying. He wandered off to the direction of the cry and saw the spirit of a little boy. He looked at the boy and asked, “What’s wrong?”
“…” the boy said nothing as he rushed at Shiroma.
“What’s your problem?” Shiroma said in a playing tone as he kicked the boy down and put his foot on his stomach.
“…food…Food!” the boy yelled loudly as he reached at the apple.
“…” Shiroma looked at the boy struggling to get the apple and decided to give it to him, “Here! Eat up.”
“Waaa…” the boy looked repeatedly between Shiroma and the apple.
“Eat!” Shiroma said as he walked away, “That way you can the strength to leave here. After all, it would be a shame to have a strong soul die of starvation.”
“Haha!” the boy laughed happily as he ate the apple and got up to follow Shiroma.
“Huh!?” Shiroma said as he turned around due to the sound of small footsteps behind him, “You again? Sorry, but I don’t have anymore apples.”
“Th-thank you…” the boy said.
“Well? Why are you following me?” Shiroma said in a more serious tone of voice.
“I-I can’t?” the boy asked.
“It’s not that you can’t,” Shiroma patted the kid’s head, “The road I’m following is dangerous, that’s all.”
“…” the boy pouted.
“What’s your name, kid?” Shiroma said as he tried to think of what to do with the kid.
“T-Toushun! Ichigaka, Toushun!!” he shouted his response.
“Well, listen to me Toushun-kun. I’m not sure it will work, but I have an idea,” Shiroma grabbed his sword and showed it to Toushun, “I am Kogetsu, Shiroma. I was a shinigami as one point but I’m not anymore.”
“Wow!” the boy looked as if he was in a trance as he stared at the sword.
“I’m going to give you a soul burial, but I’m not sure it will work though…” Shiroma said with a smirk, “…but I’m going to try to send you to the soul society. When you make it there ask around and see if you can find the shinigami academy.”
“Okay!” Toushun said as Shiroma place the hilt of the sword against his forehead.
“Bye, Toushun!” Shiroma said smiling as a bright light began to glow under Toushun.
“See you later, Shiroma-san!!!” the boy said happily as he vanished into the light.
“I doubt that ever happens, kid,” Shiroma watched as the light disappeared, “Well, now I need to find that guy who sells gigais.” Shiroma walked off and never turned back. He could only think of his new path and where it would lead him.
